Briefly state the primary functions and responsibilities of this position.
The primary functions and responsibilities are the following:
Develop and deliver an engaging, hands-on school curriculum.
Instruct students in both theoretical and practical aspects of all beauty areas.
Demonstrate and teach proper techniques, including cutting, styling, shaving, and grooming.
Ensure a safe and sanitary learning environment.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements to incorporate into teaching.
Guide students during hands-on learning experiences, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, skin care, and other cosmetology techniques. Collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain a positive and productive learning environment Prepares instruction that reflects appropriate learning objectives
Create and adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students while adhering to the curriculum guidelines.
Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, practical exams, and observations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Ensure that the learning environment, including the student salon, is clean, safe, and conducive to learning. Maintain equipment and supplies.

perform this job.
Required:
High School Diploma
NJ Cosmetology Instructor License
Communication, both oral and written and computer skills are necessary. Applicants not meeting this minimum requirement will not be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: List the minimum physical requirements or manual labor requirements for this job
(e.g., lifting heavy boxes, etc.)
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one building area to another, sit, and use a computer for a long period.
Ability to lift and carry a stack of forms and documents weighing up to 25 pounds.
